Vouchers purchased are valid till 23rd November 2012.
An individual may purchase up to 06 vouchers.
Voucher is valid only for one, Colombo-Trincomalee two-way ticket (adult or child, depending on the option you have selected) from Exporail.
Voucher holders should call Exporail on 011 5225050 or 011 4524190 in advance, to check on the availability of seats. Please refer to the time table below for arrival/departure dates and times of the train.
Time Table
Voucher holders must make a booking in advance to utilize the voucher. Reservations should be made within the validity period of the voucher. Voucher holder should provide the serial number, authorization code and any additional info requested when making reservations. Reservations will be made subject to availability.
Voucher holders will receive their e-tickets by email after a successful booking.
Vouchers purchased via mydeal.lk website using a credit card, require the owner of the credit card to come in person bearing the credit card used for purchasing, to redeem the voucher.
Mydeal.lk issued vouchers cannot be combined with other existing offers.
Vouchers once bought are non refundable.

- Results so far indicate that trains are almost always less damaging to the environment than planes and cars.
- A train uses up to 70% less energy and causes up to 85% less air pollution when compared to a jet aircraft.
- Trains use 17 times less fuel to travel the same distance compared to an aircraft and 5 times less fuel than a car per passenger km.

 

So to conclude if a party of 30 travels with exporail, you will be using 30 times less fuel than if you hired 6 taxis.
